How To Get Optimum Performance From Windows

You may have noticed that your PC is not working as smoothly as it used to when you first bought it. Windows needs regular maintenance to keep running smoothly. Here are some tips to ensure that you get the best performance from Windows:

• Clean up your registry regularly.
• Reduce Booting time by manually disabling some startup items that take very long to boot.
• Turn off Windows Indexing. It tends to slow down your system as Windows tries to index multiple files simultaneously.
• Clean up unwanted files on your computer, as they take up space and slow down your system.

I always use Disk Defragmenter. I think it helps Windows to perform more better.

I do a pretty good job of staying on top of 3 of the 4 you listed. Haven’t stop the indexing. I’m going to give it a try now.
